finally found a third, so i'm making a tryptich :)
never thought about that while taking the photos.. though my eyes are often attracted to red when there's green around.
or to yellow when there's blue
etc
but here it's red. and green.

you know, i've been thinking about he b&w stuff, and how people are exclusively attracted to b&w shots. but sometimes colors bring different things to a photograph, i don't know. it's like.. b&w is to be used when an effect is desired, a mood, an emphasis on light, shadows, lines. color is used for other things, and for different moods. i don't think anyone should be more attracted to one or another. both have their charm and qualities.
ok, i'm boring myself :P

if you go to my gallery you'll understand that I only work with colour and composition and a bit of light.

so if I turn my pictures to bw they stay really boring :P if they aren't already :rofl:

some suck and some are good

Très belles photos. Magnifiques paysages, surtout la 3e.
Quant à l'ordre du tryptique, j'ai essayé d'autres arrangements mais c'est mieux ainsi. En fait je crois que la chose qui me dérangeait c'était la partie sombre de la photo centrale qui déséquilibre un peu les distributions d'intensité. Par taille décroissante du personnage, c'est bien.

this is a perfect example of why colour photography can be as magical and lovely as b/w. nice work. good eye.

this is a great combination for a tryptich. i agree, with you about the color vs. black and white though. in cases like this, color is perfect because there is a very distince color feature to show. however, in some other cases, when color does not convey something unique or specific, i find it distracting.

Good combination. Starts out flat, down the stairs, into the hills, with the mountains always in the background. Gives the pictures a connection apart from that nice green/red-tone. Just the border disturbs me a bit, broad at the side, but none at the top ..

Love this. I'm always a sucker for shots like these.

Personally I love both color and b&w shots equally.
For my own shots, I always shoot in color, in case I think it might look good in b&w.
