it's not the type of photo i usually submit because it's simply not the type of scenes i'm used to see every day. well. it happened yesterday, there was this strange gathering around a homeless old man, i don't understand why though, i live in the street of homelesses, junkies, whores, students and policemen. and people decided to gather around this one. some people were passing by just glancing, and these two girls seemed very concerned... i was on the other side of the street, i thought i'd better hide the man's head, and wait for the lady i had seen coming to pass by.. and voilą :)

oh, and advanced critique encouraged, for once :)

thank you chris :)

Daily DeviationStreet scene by *Gonzale The elements of this photo are so interesting. Everyone has something different going on in their lives and I think it's evident in their reations to this man on the ground. Very well done. So is her gallery. (Featured by `cweeks)

those colors are so strikingly powerful. and the tones are amazing.

that was my dumbass DA comment.

here's the real deal.
although i think there is a bit too many people crammed into the composition, i still think you captured what is (for me) your talent, the facial expressions. when i open your photos, that is usually the first thing i look at, the others come second. so seeing that expression on that womans face completes the meaning of the photo. more than that, the striding lady and the careless expression she has is very effective too.
i simply love your photos, no matter how much you suck! :P

yeah, i clearly suck as a person... i should work on that. :P
i adore you :)
I think the tonal range is great here - good overal texture in the whites and blacks and middle greys. Plus yes, the photo itself is great, this is an awesome capture, I think the women's expression as she passes by is priceless.

A favorite, darling.
hahaha
yeah you know, middle greys are just a pain in the ass...
thank you
Yes indeed. They are!
weird
yet so daily and human
this is the world.
you just looked and pushed a button.
obviously you treat your camera like a family pendant hanging from your neck.
The extra eye that remembers things exactly the way they looked.
:P ehehe..

deep in the pit of my stomach I am too emotionally sensitized to see or feel anything other than shame
for us all

yet still I appreciate you sharing this
you got a wide variety of emotions in this pic its very nice, you have the girl whos concerned and looks like shes crying standing over him and then you have the lady who it looks like is just stepping over as if this is just part of the everyday scenery. perfect positioning of all the people, i love it
